Product Description

Iprodione is a highly effective, broad-spectrum, contact fungicide belonging to the dimethylacetamide class. Iprodione inhibits protein kinases, controlling intracellular signals that regulate many cellular functions, including the interference with carbohydrate binding to fungal cell components. As a result, it suppresses the germination and production of fungal spores and inhibits mycelial growth. This means Iprodione affects all developmental stages in the life cycle of pathogenic fungi.

Features of Iprodione

1. Iprodione is a broad-spectrum, contact, and protective fungicide that is highly effective and low in toxicity. It is environmentally friendly, safe for humans and animals, non-toxic to bees, and especially suitable for application on vegetable crops.

2. Iprodione is primarily used for preventing diseases, with a long-lasting efficacy period of generally 10 to 15 days. Thus, it can inhibit the germination and production of fungal spores as well as the growth of mycelium, affecting all developmental stages in the life cycle of pathogenic fungi. It can control strains that are resistant to benzimidazole systemic fungicides (such as carbendazim and probenazole) and also manage some strains that are typically difficult to control.

3. Iprodione is often mixed with fungicide components such as thiram, mancozeb, prochloraz, and carbendazim for the production of combination fungicides.

Application

Field Usage Technology for Iprodione

1. Apple Tree Spotting and Leaf Drop Disease, Red Spot Disease: After apple flowers have fallen and before bagging, use a 50% Iprodione suspension at a dilution of 1000-1500 times to spray evenly in the orchard for prevention and control. The effectiveness is particularly impressive. It can also be mixed with other agents such as difenoconazole and tebuconazole.

2. Pepper Early Blight and Gray Mold: From initial flowering to harvest, 20-30 grams of 50% Iprodione suspension can be diluted in 15 kg of water for spray prevention and control. It can also be combined with protective fungicides such as propineb and Metiram.

3. Cucumber Gray Mold and Sclerotinia Disease: Use a 50% Iprodione suspension at 20-30 grams diluted in 15 kg of water for spraying before or at the initial stage of the disease. It can be used up to three times throughout the entire growth period, preferably in combination with therapeutic agents.

4. Tomato Early Blight, Gray Mold, and Sclerotinia Disease: Start spraying before or at the initial stage of the disease using a 50% Iprodione suspension at 30 grams diluted in 15 kg of water. The second spray can be conducted every 7-10 days, with notable effectiveness reported from field usage.

5. Cabbage, Chinese Cabbage, and Asparagus Gray Mold, Black Spot Disease, and Stem Rot: Begin spraying before or at the initial stage of the disease using 30 grams of a 50% Iprodione suspension diluted in 15 kg of water. The second spray can also be conducted every 7-10 days, showing remarkable effectiveness.

6. Ornamental Crop Leaf Spot, Gray Mold, and Root Rot: Start spraying at the initial stage of the disease, with a spray interval of 7-12 days. Use 20-30 grams of 50% Iprodione suspension diluted in 15 kg of water for prevention and control, showing remarkable effects. Additionally, a 500 times dilution of the suspension can be used for soaking for 15 minutes before cuttings.

7. Corn Large and Small Spot Diseases: At the 7-8 leaf stage of corn growth, use 25 grams of a 50% Iprodione suspension diluted in 15 kg of water for a full-field spray, showing significant prevention and control effects.

8. Peanut Root Rot and Leaf Spot Disease: 100 grams of 50% Iprodione can be mixed with 100 kg of seeds for planting after dilution, showing very significant effects.
