Trifloxystrobin is a methacrylic-acid ester fungicide. From the perspective of its mechanism of action in inhibiting pathogens, oxathiin acts as an inhibitor of mitochondrial respiration in pathogens.
After application, the agent can bind to complex III, specifically the cytochrome bc1 complex, in the electron transport chain of the pathogen's mitochondria. This binding blocks the transfer of electrons from cytochrome bc1 to cytochrome c, hindering the synthesis of ATP and thereby inhibiting or killing the pathogens.
The mechanism of action of Trifloxystrobin is unique and does not exhibit cross-resistance with common fungicides such as morpholines, triazoles, phenylureas, benzopyrroles, and phenylacetamides, allowing for alternating use.
2. Trifloxystrobin also has good compatibility with other agents. Allowing it to be mixed with dozens of fungicides such as tebuconazole, prochloraz, difenoconazole, and cymoxanil, demonstrating a remarkable synergistic effect.
3. Furthermore, Trifloxystrobin has a long residual period. It not only possesses strong permeability but also excellent systemic translocation. The agent can penetrate through the leaves into the cells and be transmitted to various parts of the plant, remaining effective for an extended time within the plant. Its protective effect against diseases can last for over 15 days.
