Thiram is a selective systemic fungicide that acts as a succinate dehydrogenase inhibitor. It can penetrate plant lesions to effectively kill pathogens.
Since Carboxin+Thiram have different modes of action, their combination helps to delay the development of pathogen resistance and demonstrates efficacy against a variety of pathogens.
Thiram is a broad-spectrum protective fungicide of the organic sulfur class. Its mechanism of action involves inhibiting the activity of certain enzymes in pathogens and disrupting the tricarboxylic acid cycle, leading to the death of the pathogens. This agent has a certain degree of permeability and a relatively long residual effect in the soil. At high doses, Thiram has a certain repellent effect on field mice and wild rabbits.
Thiophanate-methyl is a substituted benzimidazole fungicide. It is highly effective and low in toxicity. This fungicide has excellent systemic properties and controls a broad spectrum of fungal diseases. It effectively combats leaf spot, sooty mold, rust, anthracnose, ring spot, and gray mold. Users can apply it through foliar spraying, seed treatment, and soil application.
Thiophanate-methyl serves as both a preventive and therapeutic fungicide. It primarily acts through systemic absorption but also exhibits some contact activity. After application, part of it converts to carbendazim on the plant surface, which provides good protection. Another part gets absorbed into the plant and converts to carbendazim as well. This conversion interferes with the formation of fungal mycelium, inhibits spore germination, and obstructs cell division, achieving effective fungicidal effects.
Insoluble sulfur with the high dispersion and high stability, mainly reflected in the following, It can avoid the blooming of rubber in the storage period and maintain the sizing components with uniform performance; it can improve the adhesion of rubber and rubber, rubber and steel or synthetic cord to overcome the poor adhesion caused by the blooming of rubber and avoid to contaminate the rubber products and molds; It also can increase the adhesion of rubber and other materials, thus reducing scorch in the process of mixing and storage. Meanwhile, it will be not migration in the adjacent layer to keep the molding at the surface of rubber. Insoluble sulfur can shorten the curing time, reduce the dosage of sulfur and improve the aging properties of rubber products.
Features of Thiram
1. Thorough Sterilization
Thiram effectively controls various diseases such as downy mildew, late blight, anthracnose, black grain disease in cereals, and seedling yellow wilt disease across multiple crops.
2. Wide Range of Applicable Crops
Thiram covers a wide range of crops, including field crops, fruit trees, vegetables, and cash crops, making it suitable for nearly all types of crops.
3. Diverse Application Methods
Thiram offers various application methods; it can be used for foliar spraying, seed dressing, and soil treatment. It can also be made into toxic soil for furrow or hole application. For the prevention of rot in apple trees, apply 300-500 grams of the 10% paste agent per square meter.
4. Prevention of Rodents and Rabbits
Using a 50% wettable powder solution diluted 8 times, apply to the trunks of young citrus and peach trees to prevent damage from rabbits and mice.
Application of thiophanate-methyl
Thiophanate-methyl is highly effective in controlling various fungal diseases, including but not limited to the following kinds:
1. Downy Mildew: This is a common plant disease that primarily affects leaves, causing yellow and white spots, and can lead to leaf death in severe cases. Thiophanate-methyl can effectively inhibit the growth of downy mildew fungi, thereby controlling the development of the disease.
2. Anthracnose: Anthracnose is a fungal disease that affects a variety of crops, primarily manifesting as brown lesions on leaves and fruits, which can lead to plant death in severe cases. Thiophanate-methyl has a significant inhibitory effect on anthracnose fungi and can be used to control anthracnose in various crops.
3. Wilting Disease: Wilting disease is a soil-borne disease that primarily affects the roots and stems of crops, leading to plant wilting and death. Thiophanate-methyl can effectively control the occurrence and spread of wilting disease through soil treatment or irrigation application.
4. Powdery Mildew: Powdery mildew is a common leaf disease that primarily affects leaves and stems, causing a white powdery substance to cover the leaf surface. Thiophanate-methyl has a significant preventive effect against powdery mildew fungi and can be used to control powdery mildew in various crops.
5. Rust Disease: Rust disease is a typical fungal disease that primarily affects the leaves and stems of crops, causing rusty lesions on the leaves. Thiophanate-methyl has an inhibitory effect on rust fungi and can be used to control rust disease in various crops.
Application of Sulfur
It is widely used in some products where rubber skin and structure are bonded, such as white sidewall rubber, tire turnover, buffer rubber, hose, carcass rubber material, tape.
Household rubber products, toys, latex gloves and other high-grade rubber products.
