Myclobutanil fungicide is a triazole-type systemic fungicide with low toxicity that serves both preventive and therapeutic purposes. Its mechanism of action involves inhibiting the biosynthesis of ergosterol in pathogens, leading to abnormalities in the pathogen's cell membrane and ultimately resulting in pathogen death. Myclobutanil has strong systemic properties, high efficacy, a long duration of action, is safe for crops, and has a certain growth-promoting effect.
Thiram is a broad-spectrum protective fungicide of the organic sulfur class. Its mechanism of action involves inhibiting the activity of certain enzymes in pathogens and disrupting the tricarboxylic acid cycle, leading to the death of the pathogens. This agent has a certain degree of permeability and a relatively long residual effect in the soil. At high doses, Thiram has a certain repellent effect on field mice and wild rabbits.
Features of Thiram
1. Thorough Sterilization
Thiram effectively controls various diseases such as downy mildew, late blight, anthracnose, black grain disease in cereals, and seedling yellow wilt disease across multiple crops.
2. Wide Range of Applicable Crops
Thiram covers a wide range of crops, including field crops, fruit trees, vegetables, and cash crops, making it suitable for nearly all types of crops.
3. Diverse Application Methods
Thiram offers various application methods; it can be used for foliar spraying, seed dressing, and soil treatment. It can also be made into toxic soil for furrow or hole application. For the prevention of rot in apple trees, apply 300-500 grams of the 10% paste agent per square meter.
4. Prevention of Rodents and Rabbits
Using a 50% wettable powder solution diluted 8 times, apply to the trunks of young citrus and peach trees to prevent damage from rabbits and mice.
Application of Myclobutanil
1. Fruit Tree Diseases
(1) For the control of sigatoka, spray a 5% emulsion or a 5% high-concentration emulsion diluted 1000 to 1500 times.
(2) For the control of powdery mildew on apples and grapes, spray once every two weeks with a 25% emulsion diluted 3000 to 5000 times, showing significant therapeutic effects.
(3) For the control of pears and apples scab
spray a 5% emulsion or a 25% emulsion diluted 4000 to 5000 times, or a 40% wettable powder diluted 8000 to 10000 times, or a 5% high-concentration emulsion diluted 1500 to 2000 times. Combining with mancozeb will improve disease prevention efficacy.
2. Control of Various Diseases Affecting Cereals
(1) For the control of loose smut and stinking smut, use 40 to 60 ml of a 25% emulsion per 100 kg of seeds; for wheat head blight, use 60 to 80 ml of a 25% emulsion per 100 kg of seeds, mixed with a small amount of water for seed treatment.
(2) For the control of wheat powdery mildew, apply 2 to 4 grams of active ingredient per acre, equivalent to 40 to 80 ml of a 5% emulsion, or 34 to 67 ml of a 6% emulsion, or 17 to 33 ml of a 12% emulsion, or 16 to 32 ml of a 12.5% emulsion, or 8 to 16 ml of a 25% emulsion, with regular spraying in water.
3. Control of Cucumber Powdery Mildew
Apply 30 to 40 ml of a 5% emulsion or a 5% high-concentration emulsion per acre, with regular spraying in water.
4. Control of Water Bamboo Leaf Spot Disease and Rust
Spray once at the initial onset and once during peak occurrence with a 12.5% emulsion diluted 1000 to 2000 times, achieving significant results.
