Cyazofamid is a mitochondrial respiration inhibitor. It kills pathogens by blocking electron transfer in cytochrome bcl's Qi site. This prevents energy production in pathogens. The binding site is the Q point, classifying it as a Qil fungicide. It disrupts normal physiological responses, leading to pathogen death. Unlike methoxyacrylate agents, it acts on all growth stages of fungi. It remains effective against pathogens resistant or sensitive to metalaxyl. Cyazofamid has good systemic and penetrative properties. It quickly distributes within plants for comprehensive protection. It also has therapeutic effects, controlling existing diseases.
1. Strong targeting and effective. It is particularly effective against downy mildew on cucumbers, sweet melons, and spinach, late blight on tomatoes, potatoes, and peppers, as well as root rot diseases in cruciferous vegetables like cabbage and Chinese cabbage.
2. Low dosage, long-lasting effect, and safety. The effectiveness lasts for 10 to 14 days, reducing the frequency of application. After spraying cyprodinil, no side effects have been observed on the tender leaves and young fruits of vegetables. It has no impact on beneficial microorganisms, plants, and higher animals, making it highly safe for crops and the environment. The pesticide residue on vegetables is low, meeting the requirements for pollution-free vegetable production, making it highly recommended for widespread application in production.

It controls diseases caused by Oomycetes, including late blight, downy mildew, damping-off, and root rot. Notably, compared to broad-spectrum fungicides, Cyazofamid is effective only against lower fungi Oomycete diseases. Its specificity and effectiveness against Oomycetes earn it the title of the "downy mildew killer."
Cyazofamid primarily serves as a protective agent but also offers some therapeutic and systemic properties. It is effective throughout all growth stages of Oomycete pathogens and does not show cross-resistance with different types of fungicides like metalaxyl. However, it has no inhibitory activity against most higher fungi, such as Ascomycetes and Basidiomycetes.
In agricultural production, Cyazofamid is mainly applied through spraying. For controlling diseases in potatoes, tomatoes, cucumbers, and cabbages, use 53-66 ml of a 100 g/L suspension per acre, diluted in 30-45 kg of water for uniform spraying. For grapes and lychees, a 2000-2500 fold dilution of the same suspension is recommended for uniform spraying. Start spraying before or at the early stage of disease onset, at intervals of 7-10 days, alternating with different types of agents. For late blight in potatoes, apply 48-60 g per hectare for uniform spraying.
