Product Description

Pinoxaden is a broad-spectrum herbicide for wheat fields. It effectively controls various annual grass weeds. The herbicide acts through foliar absorption. Symptoms appear in weeds within 2 days. Weeds start to yellow in 7-15 days. Death occurs around a month later. Pinoxaden shows slow resistance development. It is compatible with other herbicides. It resists rain wash-off. Avoid mixing with hormone-type herbicides. Do not apply in low temperatures or frost. Refrain from use in waterlogged fields.

Features of Pinoxaden

1. Pinoxaden primarily acts through foliar absorption and has a relatively fast action speed. Normally, symptoms appear in weeds within 2 days after application, they begin to yellow within 7-15 days, and death occurs around a month later.
2. The application period is wide. It can be applied from the greening of winter wheat until the jointing stage, or during the 3-5 leaf stage of spring wheat and annual grass weeds.
3. Resistance development is slow. Although pinoxaden and cyclohexanedione herbicides, as well as aryloxyphenoxypropionate herbicides, are all ACCase inhibitors, their action sites differ from other ACCase inhibitors. Thus, there is no cross-resistance with traditional herbicides, and resistance develops slowly.
4. It has good compatibility with other herbicides. Currently, effective combinations include pinoxaden + clodinafop-propargyl, pinoxaden + isoproturon, pinoxaden + pyroxsulam, pinoxaden + methylsulfonyl-methyl, and pinoxaden + florasulam, all showing good herbicidal activity.
5. It is resistant to rain wash-off, degrades quickly in soil, has low soil activity, and has minimal impact on subsequent crops.

Application of Pinoxaden

Pinoxaden is primarily used for post-emergence control of annual grass weeds in wheat and barley fields, such as wild oats, Japanese wild oats, wild barley, smooth crabgrass, barnyard grass, foxtail, hard grass, and giant foxtail. It is suitable for spring cereals and is often combined with safeners to enhance product safety.
