By strongly inhibiting ergosterol biosynthesis, it alters spore morphology and cell membrane structure. This causes spore cells to deform, hyphae to swell, and branches to become malformed. These changes directly affect cell permeability. As a result, pathogens die or are suppressed. It exhibits strong systemic activity. After absorption by various plant parts, it can be transported within the plant. Once the roots absorb it, it moves upward effectively. This provides preventive, eradication, and therapeutic effects against diseases. It shows strong biological activity against pathogens in Ascomycota, Basidiomycota, and Deuteromycota, but not against Oomycetes.
Phoxim is an effective, low-toxicity organophosphate insecticide. It paralyzes pests' nervous systems, causing poisoning and starvation. It has strong contact and stomach toxicity, with some ovicidal effects. Phoxim lacks systemic action but has quick knockdown power. Its efficacy is short-lived. In fields, it degrades quickly under light, posing low residue risk. Leaf spray residue lasts 2-3 days, but it remains stable in soil for over a month. Thus, it is ideal for soil treatment to eliminate underground larvae.
Features of Triadimefon
1. Broad Spectrum of Action
Triadimefon has special efficacy against rust, powdery mildew, and smut diseases, and it shows good control effects against smut diseases in corn and sorghum, as well as corn leaf spot disease.
2. Strong Compatibility
Triadimefon can be mixed with most insecticides, fungicides, and herbicides, except for alkaline pesticides and copper preparations.
3. Diverse Application Methods
Triadimefon can not only be applied as a foliar spray but can also be used for seed treatment and soil application.
4. Simultaneous Fungicidal and Growth Regulation
In practical applications and growth processes, Triadimefon serves not only as an effective fungicide but also as a plant growth regulator, effectively enhancing the crop's resistance to adverse conditions.
Aapplication of phoxim
1. Control of Underground Pests in Peanuts: During peanut sowing, apply 4.2-4.8 kg/acre of 5% granules mixed with fine soil for furrow application. Cover the soil promptly after application.
2. Control of Underground Pests in Wheat: Before sowing wheat, apply 3-4 kg/acre of 3% granules mixed with 15-20 kg of fine soil or sand for furrow application.
3. Control of Corn Borers: Mix 3% granules with fine sand or furnace slag (in a 2-4 ratio) and apply at the corn heart leaf stage for effective control.
4. Control of Rice Pests:
Rice Stem Borer: Spray 100-125 g/acre of 40% emulsifiable concentrate during the tillering and booting stages when dead heart or white ears are observed.
Rice Leaf Folder: Apply 250-300 g/acre of 20% micro-emulsion mixed with water during the egg hatching to early larval stage, focusing on the upper part of the rice plants. Maintain a 3-5 cm water layer in the field for 3-5 days during application.
5. Control of Cotton Pests:
Cotton Bollworm: Spray 37.5-50 g/acre of 40% emulsifiable concentrate during the egg hatching or before young larvae burrow.
Cotton Aphid: Spray 30-40 g/acre of 40% emulsifiable concentrate during the peak of aphid infestation.
6. Control of Sugarcane Pests: At planting, evenly apply 3.6-4.8 kg/acre of 5% granules in the planting furrow and cover with soil promptly to effectively control sugarcane tortoise pests. Keep the soil moist for better results.
7. Control of Vegetable Pests:
Cabbage Caterpillar: Spray 50-75 g/acre of 40% emulsifiable concentrate during the peak of 2-3 age larvae.
Leek Maggot: When yellowing tips and wilting plants are observed, apply 350-570 g/acre of 70% emulsifiable concentrate mixed with water to the leek roots using a manual sprayer without the rotating disk, or apply with irrigation water.
8. Control of Fruit Tree Pests: Begin control when the fruit infestation rate of peach fruit borer reaches 1%. Spray 1000-2000 times diluted 40% emulsifiable concentrate evenly. Spray every 7-10 days for 2-3 consecutive applications. A 500 times diluted solution can also be sprayed under apple trees after rain in early to mid-June for good efficacy.
9. Control of Tobacco Pests: Spray 50-100 g/acre of 40% emulsifiable concentrate during the peak of leaf-eating pest egg hatching or early larval stage.
10. Control of Tea and Mulberry Pests: Spray 1000-2000 times diluted 40% emulsifiable concentrate during the peak of leaf-eating pest egg hatching or early larval stage on tea and mulberry trees.
11. Control of Sanitary Pests: Use 15% emulsifiable concentrate diluted 50 times, applying at 10 g/m² to effectively control fly-related sanitary pests.
