Fungicide Combination Mancozeb 54% + Metalaxyl 8% + Chlorothalonil 18% Wp
Fungicide Combination Mancozeb 54% + Metalaxyl 8% + Chlorothalonil 18% WP
Product Description

Mancozeb, belonging to the dithiocarbamate class of sulfur-based agents, transforms into EBIS and EBI when sprayed on the surface of plants under the influence of water and air. This process creates a dense protective film on the surfaces of leaves and fruits that is breathable, water-permeable, and light-permeable. This film inhibits the germination and invasion of pathogen spores and disrupts the activity of various enzymes necessary for the normal physiological metabolism of pathogens, thereby achieving the goal of sterilization and disease prevention by suppressing the germination of pathogen spores and exerting fungicidal effects.

Metalaxyl is a systemic fungicide with protective and curative action, absorbed through the leaves, stems, and roots.  Uses To control diseases caused by air- and soil- borne Peronosporales on a wide range of temperate, subtropical and tropical crops. Foliar sprays with mixtures of metalaxyl and protectant fungicides are recommended to control air-borne diseases caused by Pseudoperonospora humuli on hops, Phytophthora infestans on potatoes and tomatoes, Peronospora tabacina on tobacco, Plasmopara viticola on vines, Bremia lactucae on lettuce, and downy mildews on various vegetables, at 200-300 g/ha. Soil applications of metalaxyl alone are used to control soil-borne pathogens causing root and lower stem rots on avocado and citrus, at 500-1500 g/ha. Seed treatments control systemic Peronosporaceae on maize, peas, sorghum and sunflowers, as well as damping-off (Pythium spp.) of various crops.

Chlorothalonil is a non-systemic, broad-spectrum fungicide. It effectively prevents fungal diseases in various crops. It interacts with 3-phosphoglyceraldehyde dehydrogenase in fungal cells. It binds to cysteine-containing proteins in the enzyme, destroying its activity. This disrupts fungal metabolism and leads to cell death.
Chlorothalonil primarily prevents and controls fungal damage to plants. It adheres well to plant surfaces, ensuring a longer efficacy period. Typically, it remains effective for 7-10 days. It has not shown any resistance yet. It dissolves easily in water. It effectively prevents spread during severe disease outbreaks or regular spraying.

Features of Mancozeb

1. Wide Sterilization Range: Mancozeb can prevent (and control) various crops' downy mildew, late blight, anthracnose, leaf spot, leaf drop, leaf blight, ring spot, white rot, scab, black core disease, powdery mildew, black leg disease, and more.

2. Stable and Excellent Fungicidal Performance: There is no significant resistance of pathogens to mancozeb, allowing it to be applied multiple times on the same crops or in the same field without the need to switch to different fungicides. Additionally, its residue is relatively low (generally tending towards zero two months after application), making it safe for crops.

3. Good Compatibility: Mancozeb can be mixed and used with various fungicides and insecticides (such as difenoconazole, fluorosilicone, prochloraz, carbendazim, thiophanate-methyl, metalaxyl, Bordeaux mixture, chlorothalonil, and dimethomorph), as well as foliar fertilizers. Especially when mixed with systemic fungicides, it can not only enhance efficacy and prolong the duration of effectiveness but also delay the development of resistance to systemic agents while expanding its sterilization range.

4. More Stable Molecular Structure Compared to Other Similar Fungicides: When sprayed on crops, mancozeb's conversion is more stable and controllable, which in turn promotes better efficacy against diseases and higher safety for crops.

5. Good Nutritional Components: In addition to its strong fungicidal ability, when applied during crop growth, the zinc and manganese contained in the formulation can also be absorbed by crops to promote their growth and development (zinc is beneficial for the growth of young buds and tender leaves, while manganese is an essential element for photosynthesis in leaves), enhancing the crops' resistance to stress.

6. Low Usage Cost: Compared to other fungicides, its cost per acre is lower.

Application of Mancozeb

For crops such as corn, wheat, peanuts, sorghum, rice, and tomatoes, seed coating, soaking, and mixing methods can prevent seed-borne diseases and soil-borne diseases at the seedling stage. For field crops and vegetables, the application rates are generally 40 to 50 liters of solution per acre for manual spraying, 7 to 10 liters per acre for tractor spraying, 1 to 2 liters per acre for aerial spraying, and 200 to 300 liters per acre for manual spraying on fruit trees. In addition to disease prevention, it also stimulates plant growth, typically using a dilution of 600 to 800 times the 75% mancozeb wettable powder.

Application of Chlorothalonil

Rice blast: Start spraying when disease centers appear. Spray again after 7 days. For panicle blast, spray once at the booting stage and once at the heading stage. Use 75% Chlorothalonil wettable powder diluted 500-700 times. Mix well before spraying.

Sheath blight: Spray during the early disease stage or from the young panicle formation to the grain-filling stage. Spray again after 7 days. Use 75% Chlorothalonil wettable powder diluted 500-700 times, focusing on spraying the rice stems.

Wheat leaf rust and leaf spot: Start spraying at the early disease stage. Spray again after 7 days. Repeat for 2-3 applications. Use 75% Chlorothalonil wettable powder diluted 500-700 times. Mix well before spraying.

Peanut rust, brown spot, and black spot: Start spraying at the early disease stage. Spray every 7-10 days for 2-3 applications. Use 75% Chlorothalonil wettable powder diluted 500-600 times or 40% Chlorothalonil suspension diluted 400-600 times. Spray evenly.

Cucumber downy mildew: Start spraying before or at the early disease stage. Spray every 7 days for 3-4 applications. Use 75% Chlorothalonil wettable powder diluted 300-500 times or 40% Chlorothalonil suspension diluted 400-500 times. Reduce the spray volume for young cucumber seedlings. Use Baijunqing smoke agent for greenhouse cucumber downy mildew, at 45% smoke agent 200-250g per mu.

Tomato early blight: Start spraying at the early disease stage. Spray every 7-10 days for 3-4 applications. Use 75% Chlorothalonil wettable powder diluted 300-500 times or 40% Chlorothalonil suspension diluted 400-500 times. Mix well before spraying, reducing spray volume for young seedlings.

Cabbage black spot and downy mildew: Start spraying at the early disease stage when conditions favor disease development. Spray every 7-10 days for 2-3 applications. Use 75% Baijunqing wettable powder diluted 400-500 times. Mix well before spraying.

Bean rust, gray mold, and anthracnose: Start spraying at the early disease stage. Spray every 7 days for 3-4 applications. Use 75% Chlorothalonil wettable powder diluted 400-500 times. Mix well before spraying.
