Difenoconazole is a low-toxicity heterocyclic fungicide. It has strong systemic activity and a broad spectrum of action. It rarely develops resistance. It is widely used in agriculture. Difenoconazole controls various diseases caused by ascomycetes, basidiomycetes, and deuteromycetes. It is particularly effective against diseases like leaf blight, black spot, and powdery mildew.
Its main mechanism involves disrupting C14 demethylation in pathogens. This inhibits ergosterol biosynthesis. It damages the physiological functions of cell membranes. Benzovindiflupyr strongly suppresses spore production in plant pathogens. Difenoconazole effectively controls disease progression and provides protective and therapeutic effects.
Fludioxonil inhibits enzymes related to glucose phosphorylation in pathogens. This suppression hinders fungal hyphae growth and leads to pathogen death. When applied as a seed treatment, the active ingredient adsorbs onto the seed surface during stirring and germination. It forms a stable, long-lasting protective barrier. Some of the active ingredient penetrates into the seed interior. This action kills pathogens on the seed surface and those within the seed coat.
Fludioxonil is a highly effective and low-toxicity contact fungicide that does not possess systemic translocation or protective activity. Therefore, it should be applied before or at the early stages of disease development. When used in combination with other systemic fungicides, such as propiconazole, it can broaden the spectrum of disease control and enhance the efficacy of both products.
Thlamethoxam, a second-generation neonicotinoid insecticide, works similarly to imidacloprid. It inhibits enzyme receptor activity in pests, disrupting nerve signal transmission and causing paralysis.
This new neonicotinoid acts in three ways. First, it has a direct contact killing effect on some larvae. Second, it acts as a stomach poison. When pests ingest it from treated crops, it causes toxic death.Third, it works through systemic absorption. Plants absorb thlamethoxam, which then enters pests when they feed on plant sap. This systemic action effectively prevents piercing-sucking pests.
