Insecticide Deltamethrin Products 1.25% 2.5%Ec 2.5%Wp Pesticide

Insecticide Deltamethrin products 1.25% 2.5%EC 2.5%WP Pesticide
Product Description

Deltamethrin primarily targets the voltage-gated sodium channels in nerve cells. It is one of the most potent insecticides in the pyrethroid class. It has both contact and stomach poisoning effects. The contact effect is rapid and has strong knockdown power. It does not have fumigation or systemic absorption effects. At high concentrations, it can repel some pests.

Deltamethrin extends the opening time of VGSCs in insects. This leads to sustained depolarization of the cell membrane. As a result, insects show symptoms of poisoning, such as immediate spasms, rapid paralysis, and eventual death.

Additionally, Deltamethrin affects other targets in insects, including chloride channels, ATPase, GABA receptors, glutamate receptors, acetylcholine receptors, and voltage-gated calcium channels.

Deltamethrin is stable and has very high insecticidal activity. It is a neurotoxic agent and a type II pyrethroid insecticide containing an α-cyano group. Its primary mechanisms are contact and stomach poisoning, giving it a broad spectrum of activity. Therefore, it is widely used in the control of agricultural pests and in aquaculture for clearing ponds, killing parasitic organisms, and eliminating harmful species in shellfish farming areas.

Application

1. Used for Malaria Prevention and Control:Pyrethroids are currently utilized in malaria control programs, with Deltamethrin selected as the primary insecticide. Deltamethrin shows good insecticidal effects against mosquitoes and has excellent residual action, making it one of the prominent pyrethroid insecticides for the control of sanitary pests. In certain tropical regions such as Africa and India, where malaria is rampant, Deltamethrin is an effective medication for malaria prevention. It can be used to impregnate mosquito nets, and this method has been widely implemented and evaluated. Thus, Deltamethrin 's excellent penetration ability and insecticidal properties are characteristics that other insecticide boosters do not possess.

2. Combination with Other Insecticides to Enhance Efficacy: When efficacy is suboptimal, adding Deltamethrin often serves to penetrate the waxy cuticle of pests, thus fully exerting its role as an insecticide enhancer.

3. Pest Control in Warehouses: Primarily, emulsifiable concentrates are used for water spraying and can be employed for insect disinfection of seeds and raw grains, as well as for disinfecting packaging materials, transportation tools, and equipment. The effective period generally lasts about six months. It is strictly prohibited to use it on commercial grain warehouses and on the actual grain. For pest disinfection in empty warehouses, equipment, transportation tools, and packaging materials, spraying methods are typically employed.

4. Control of Sanitary Pests: Mainly using wettable powder formulations mixed with water for residual spraying, or surface treatment of areas where sanitary pests are active and reside. For cockroaches, toxic baits can also be prepared for extermination. Emulsifiable concentrates must not be used for the control of sanitary pests.

5. Control of Agricultural Pests: Primarily, Deltamethrin emulsifiable concentrates mixed with water are sprayed for the control of various pests on crops such as cotton, vegetables, fruit trees, tea trees, oil crops, tobacco, sugarcane, dryland crops, forestry, and flowers. It is effective against various aphids, cotton bollworms, red cotton bollworms, cabbage caterpillars, diamondback moths, beet armyworms, yellow cucumber beetles, peach fruit moths, pear fruit moths, peach borer moths, citrus leaf miners, tea loopers, tea webworms, tussock moths, tea shot holes, soybean fruit moths, pod borer moths, bean caterpillars, sesame moths, cabbage butterflies, spotted cabbage butterflies, tobacco budworms, sugarcane borer worms, armyworms in wheat fields, and caterpillars on trees. The effective substance usage is generally 0.5-1 gram per mu (approximately 0.165 acres). For boring pests, application should be conducted before the larvae penetrate the plants.
