Product Description

Cyanazine is mainly absorbed by the roots of weeds, but it can also be absorbed through the leaves. By inhibiting photosynthesis, it exerts herbicidal activity, leading to the death of weeds. Enzymes present in corn plants break down cyanazine or form non-toxic compounds, making corn safe. Soil clay particles can adsorb it, and its mobility in the soil is higher than that of simazine. In humid soil, it has a half-life of 14-16 days with a duration of 2-3 months, degrading faster than atrazine, posing no impact on subsequent wheat planting. Microorganisms in the soil can decompose it.

Application

Cyanazine is suitable for use in corn, peas, fava beans, potatoes, cotton, and other crops. It controls various annual grasses and broadleaf weeds. It is applied before crop emergence after sowing, with soil spraying or stem and leaf spraying at the 2-4 leaf stage of weeds after crop emergence. The dosage for soil treatment is 1.8-2.4 kg per hectare, while for leaf spraying it is 1.2-2.0 kg. It can be mixed with atrazine to broaden the weed-killing spectrum and reduce residual presence. Moist soil conditions favor the efficacy of the herbicide. In case of dry soil in spring, shallow tillage after application enhances the effectiveness.
