Tetramycin is an antifungal active substance isolated from Streptomyces hygroscopicus strain BS-112. It belongs to the macrolide class of antibiotics and exhibits characteristics of polyene agricultural antibiotics, demonstrating excellent antimicrobial activity against various plant pathogens while maintaining low toxicity and environmental friendliness.
It is primarily used in agriculture as an antibacterial agent. Due to its low toxicity and eco-friendly properties, it holds broad application prospects in the agricultural sector.
Applications of Tetramycin
For wheat scab:
Recommend using 2% Tetramycin aqueous solution for spray treatment. Apply 100-150 ml per mu, diluted with 30-45 kg water for even spraying. The optimal application time is from wheat heading to flowering stage.
For powdery mildew and rust:
Use the same concentration and dosage for control at early disease onset. Spray every 7-10 days, with 2-3 consecutive applications for best results.
For cucumber bacterial angular leaf spot:
Recommend using 40-60 ml Tetramycin per mu for spray treatment.
For cucumber anthracnose:
Recommend using 68-90 ml Tetramycin per mu for spray treatment.
Avoid application during high temperature or strong sunlight to prevent reduced efficacy. Ensure even coverage of the solution on crops, especially the undersides of leaves.
